What is a glitched deal?

A glitched deal is a price so low it looks like a mistake. Here's where they come from, whether stores honor them, and how to catch one before it's gone.

Where glitched deals come from

Most of what we post falls into one of four groups:

Pricing errors
A retailer types the wrong price, a feed sends the wrong number, or a discount applies twice. These are the rarest and the quickest to disappear.
Clearance markdowns
Seasonal stock (Halloween decorations in late October, winter boots in spring) gets cut to a fraction of its price, sometimes only in a store's clearance section online.
Stacked codes
A sale price plus a promo code at checkout, such as "extra 40% off with code EXTRA40", lands far below what other stores charge.
Freebies and promos
Restaurant and app offers: free entrées, free coffee, buy-one-get-one deals that need a rewards account.

Do stores have to honor them?

Not for genuine pricing errors. A store can cancel an order placed at a mistaken price and refund you, and many do. Others ship to avoid upsetting customers. Markdowns, clearance and promo-code deals are ordinary sales and are honored like any other order.

Questions people ask

What is a glitched deal?

A glitched deal is a price low enough to look like a mistake. Some are true pricing errors, where a retailer enters the wrong price. Most are steep clearance markdowns, promo codes that stack with a sale, or prices that drop much lower than anywhere else for a short time.

Are glitched deals legit?

The deals we post are live listings on the retailer's own website at the time we post them. Whether a pricing error is honored is up to the retailer: some ship the order, some cancel it and refund you. Markdowns and promo-code deals are normal sales and are honored like any other order.

Do stores have to honor price errors?

No. In the US a retailer can usually cancel an order placed at a mistaken price, and most store terms say so. If an order is cancelled you get your money back.

How does GlitchedDeals find deals?

We watch prices and clearance sections across major US retailers, compare them with what other stores charge, and post the ones that are live and well below the usual price. Each post says how to get the price, for example a code to enter at checkout.

How fast do glitched deals end?

Anywhere from a few minutes to a few days. Pricing errors are often fixed within hours; clearance and code deals usually last until stock runs out. Turning on notifications for @GlitchedDeals on X is the fastest way to see them.

Is GlitchedDeals free?

Yes. Following @GlitchedDeals on X, the Discord community and this website are free. Some posts contain affiliate links tagged #ad; if you buy through one, the retailer may pay us a commission at no extra cost to you.

Is GlitchedDeals the same as Slickdeals or DealNews?

No. GlitchedDeals is an independent deal account and website. It is not affiliated with Slickdeals, DealNews, or any retailer.
